Amsterdam, August 30th, 2011 - The fast growth of the social web has led to the spreading of 'like' buttons around the web. Digg.com may be considered to be one of the first websites that used human votes to rank news. Lately, many websites have replaced the digg button with share buttons for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. The number of likes and retweets an article gets, can be seen as an important indication of its popularity.
